Day 1: Arrival in Tbilisi

Pick up from Tbilisi international airport.  Hotel accommodation and overnight in Tbilisi

Day 2: Tbilisi – Mtskheta -Tbilisi
Today we will explore the capital of Georgia,. First we will visit  Metekhi Cathedral – founded in the 13th century, Narikala Fortress(4th), Walk across the Bridge of Peace which is a stunning design as well as convenient crossing between the newly constructed Rike Park and the Old Town.. Continue to explore  underground sulphur baths (17th century) – the district of naturally hot mineral waters, cafe street Shardeni, Synagogue, Sioni Cathedral and the most ancient Basilica in Tbilisi Anchiskhati (6th century).  We will visit Mountain Mtatsminda, the Pantheon, the burial of many famous writers, artists, scientists and national heroes of Georgia.  Then drive to Mtskheta and see its historical places: Jvari Monastery (6th c) and Svetitskoveli Cathedral (11th c) ) which is known as a place where Christ’s robe was buried. Walk along the narrow streets of Mtskheta with souvenir shopping possibility.

Return to Tbilisi

Day 3 : Tbilisi- Gori –Uplistsikhe-Tbilisi
After breakfast at the hotel we travel to Gori – the birthplace of the Soviet leader Stalin. We will stop at the museum of Stalin and proceed to the cave town Uplistsikhe (1st millennium BC) – one of the first cities in Georgia carved into the rock. In the evening return to Tbilisi.

Day 4: Tbilisi-Gremi – Nekresi – Kvareli
Kakheti is famous for wine-making and it is associated with good wine and openhearted hospitality. After breakfast at the hotel drive to Gremi Monastery Complex – The magnificent town of Gremi was briefly the capital of Kakheti.  Then  we will visit  old wine-cellar and taste Qvevri wine (Qvevri wine-making is listed on UNESCO Intangible Heritage list.), made according to ancient traditional methods. Nekresi Monastery – Nekresi was founded by King Parnajom in the 2nd century BC. In the 4th century AD King Trdat built a church in the town, which is now one of the oldest Christian churches in Georgia. Then we continue to another wine cellar in Kvareli. Take part in baking the Georgian national bread “Shoty”, learn the technology of making “Churchkhela” Georgian national candy and the most important enjoy cool Georgian wine.

Day 5: Kvareli-Sighnaghi – Davit Garejai -Tbilisi
After breakfast at the hotel we will travel to Sigjnati (City of Love) a small beautiful town that opens to visitors the magnificent views of the Great Caucasus Range. This little town is a rare example of historic city which kept its style during the centuries with open traditional balconies, unique fortress with churches built in it and towers. We will enjoy the hospitality of innkeepers and restaurants, wine degustation and then travel to Davit Gareja – cave monastery  located in astark, semi-desert area. We’ll see Lavra caves where monks live and then take a walk up on a steep uphill for about 50 minutes to Udabno Monastery to enjoy its wonderful painted caves and dramatic views across to Azerbaijan. Return to Tbilisi.

Day 6:  Tbilisi- Gelati – Bagrati –Kutaisi

Kutaisi is Georgia’s second largest city after Tbilisi. After breakfast at the hotel drive to  Gelati Monastery. We’ll visit UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Gelati Monastery and Academy (12th c) Gelati is exquisite with its murals and the altar mosaic consisting of around 2 million gilded tiny stones. Then we will visit Bagrati Cathedral (11th c).

Day 7: Kutaisi- Prometheus Cave – Dadiani Palaces -Svaneti
After breakfast at the hotel drive to    Prometheus Cave one of the most beautiful and interesting caves of Europe, rich with various stalagmites and stalactites.  Break and lunch . Then we will go to Dadiani Palaces History and Architectural Museum – is a Georgian national museum located in Zugdidi, Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region. The Dadiani Palaces are History and Architecture of Dadiani dynasty, and objects connected to emperor of France Napoleon Bonaparte..  Most exciting part of our tour is still to come! We take a tour to Upper Svaneti province – UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 8: Svaneti-Mestia-Tbilisi
After breakfast at the hotel we will visit Historical and Ethnographical Museum – here you will see  treasure of Svaneti. Than visit Mikheil Khergiani House Museum – the Memorial House of famous Georgian mountain climber. We will also visit mountain Hatsvat, Tower of love, Summer and winter towers of Queen Tamar. Return to Tbilisi.

Day 9: Transfer to the airport. Return home. We wish you a safe flight and hope to see you again soon.
