Day 1: Arrival in Tbilisi

Pick up from Tbilisi international airport.  Hotel accommodation and overnight in Tbilisi

 Day 2: Tbilisi – Mtskheta -Tbilisi
Today we will explore the capital of Georgia,. First we will visit  Metekhi Cathedral – founded in the 13th century, Narikala Fortress(4th), Walk across the Bridge of Peace which is a stunning design as well as convenient crossing between the newly constructed Rike Park and the Old Town.. Continue to explore  underground sulphur baths (17th century) – the district of naturally hot mineral waters, cafe street Shardeni, Synagogue, Sioni Cathedral and the most ancient Basilica in Tbilisi Anchiskhati (6th century).  We will visit Mountain Mtatsminda, the Pantheon, the burial of many famous writers, artists, scientists and national heroes of Georgia.  Then drive to Mtskheta and see its historical places: Jvari Monastery (6th c) and Svetitskoveli Cathedral (11th c) ) which is known as a place where Christ’s robe was buried. Walk along the narrow streets of Mtskheta with souvenir shopping possibility.

Return to Tbilisi

Day 3: Tbilisi-Ananuri-Kazbegi-Tbilisi

After breakfast at the hotel  our path will run north along the Georgian Military Highway, to the border with Russia. Throughout the route you will be surrounded by dramatic mountain scenery. On the way you will visit Ananuri fortress(16th), Jinvali Water Reservoir and see an amazing view of the Gudauri ski resort (photoshoot at beautifull sights). Than we will visit Stepantsminda known as Kazbegi, small town in the north-east Georgia. It is well known and considered to be one of the must see destinations in Georgia due to amazing views of mountains and stunning nature. You will see Gergeti Trinity Church(14th) located on 2200 meters above sea level

Return to Tbilisi.

Day 4  : Tbilisi- Gori –Uplistsikhe-Kutaisi
After breakfast at the hotel we travel to Gori – the birthplace of the Soviet leader Stalin.We will stop at the museum of Stalin and proceed to the cave town Uplistsikhe (1st millennium BC) – one of the first cities in Georgia carved into the rock.  We take a tour to Kutaisi – Georgia’s second largest city after Tbilisi.

Day 5: Kutaisi- Prometheus Cave – Gelati- Bagrati-Batumi
After breakfast at the hotel drive to    Prometheus Cave – one of the most beautiful and interesting caves of Europe, rich with various stalagmites and stalactites.  Our next destination will be Gelatin Monastery. We’ll visit UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Gelati Monastery and Academy (12th c) Gelati is exquisite with its murals and the altar mosaic consisting of around 2 million gilded tiny stones. We will visit Bagrati Cathedral (11th c).  Drive to Batumi, passing by subtropical landscapes, citrus and tea plantations.

Day 6: Batumi

Day 8: Batumi -Borjomi

After breakfast at the hotel drive to Borjomi  the picturesque resort town in south-central Georgia located on the edge of the Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park. The town is famous for its mineral water, which is the number one export of Georgia; the Romanov summer palace and the World Wide Fund for nature-site Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park. Borjomi is also home to the most extensive ecologically themed amusement park in the Caucasus. Have free time to take a walk in Borjomi Park. Taste natural mineral water “Borjomi

Day 9: Borjomi-Vardzia-Rabati-Tbilisi

After breakfast at the hotel drive to  Vardzia – a cave site in southern Georgia dating back to 12th century, excavated from the slopes of the Erusheti Mountain on the left bank of the Mtkvari River. Excavations have shown that the area of Vardzia was inhabited even earlier during the Bronze Age Infrastructure includes access tunnels, water facilities, and provision for defence. Vardzia has been submitted for future inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List as a Cultural Site. Then we will visit Rabati Castle – a medieval castle complex of Asian style in Akhaltsikhe. Built in the 13th century, Rabati castle developed under the influence of different cultures over subsequent centuries and this is reflected in its architecture. Within the 7 hectares castle complex there is a Church, a Mosque, a Minaret and a Synagogue. Return to Tbilisi
